In college, I majored in Industrial Arts Education; and, I taught grades 7-12 Industrial Arts (Woods, Metals, Drafting, Electricity, Graphic Arts, and Automotive) for 7 ½ years. During this time (in 1975) I became certified at Ball State University and taught “World of Construction”, “Building Trades”, and “World of Manufacturing”. After which, I became a school administrator and was a High School Principal for 11 years and a Superintendent of Schools for 18 years. During my Educational Career, I remodeled and renovated two different homes.

I am married, my wife (Jane) is a Middle School Principal with Fort Wayne Community Schools; and, we have four children who are grown and have families of their own. I am/have been certified as an Indiana School Safety Specialist since 2000. I have and currently serve on the Selective Service Appeals Board for Northern Indiana (Fort Wayne Area) for the past ten years. I am a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge, (Shiners Lodge). Additionally, I belong to the Rochester Kiwanis Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moose Family Center, and the American Legion. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and occasionally visiting the casinos.
